Raw living foods are raw plant-based foods that include whole, ripe, raw, living and organic fruits, vegetables, greens, green sprouts, sprouted legumes, grains, nuts and seeds and fermented vegetables. It can also include whole food supplementation and superfoods. Raw living foods are the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet and provide you with optimal nutrition and energy.

A Raw Living Foods diet can be:
-simple including raw whole ripe fruits and veggies, green juices and smoothies, simple salads and soups and sprouted nuts, seeds, legumes and grains.

Injuries and pain are often a result of muscular imbalances resulting from daily wear and tear such as poor body mechanics, poor posture and repetitive stress. During your physical therapy and movement sessions the underlying issues causing your unique pain or injury will be identified and addressed allowing relief of your symptoms, freedom of movement and prevention of future injuries.

Our physical therapy philosophy: “A Whole Body and Life Approach”
We look at the body as a whole. We realize that we are not just treating the shoulder or just treating the knee. We assess your injury or pain from the perspective of how you use and move your whole body on a daily basis. By changing how you use and move your whole body we will help you balance your body, heal current injuries and prevent future injuries. We review your health history and evaluate your current physical condition to develop a program that will help you heal and regain balance in the body. We teach you what exercises are best for you and how to perform them correctly. We teach you how to attain proper posture and use proper body mechanics and ergonomics in your daily life. We educate you so that you learn how the body works and can become pro-active about your health. We provide you with home exercises that simulate what we do at the studio so you can work on your program everyday.

We provide Yoga Therapy and teach Vinyasa Flow Yoga.

Yoga therapy is the adaptation and application of Yoga techniques and practices to help individuals facing health challenges at any level manage their condition, reduce symptoms, restore balance, increase vitality, and improve attitude. It is the use of the techniques of Yoga to create, stimulate, and maintain an optimum state of not only physical but also emotional, mental, and spiritual health.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga synchronizes the breath with a flowing sequence of postures and typically uses transitional vinyasa sequences between sustained postures. It often includes sun salutations, ujjayi pranayama, bandhas and drishti. Asanas, vinyasa and pranayama are creatively sequenced to develop internal awareness, build heat and explore energizing effects. The choice of movements consists of counterposes that help balance the effects of postures and clear energy channels. The linking vinyasas bring the body back to neutral so that one can feel the energetic effects of the practice.

GYROTONIC® exercise is a unique exercise system that simultaneously stretches and strengthens the body with minimal effort, while increasing range of motion and developing coordination.

The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® incorporates the fundamentals of gymnastics, swimming, ballet and yoga in which major muscles groups are worked interdependently and in an integrated manner. The system uses specially designed exercise equipment which allows total freedom in movement, no restriction to speed and versatility, and enhances rather than distracts from coordination, strength and flexibility. The motion patterns are natural, turbulence free and pure with no interruptions, resulting in a balanced support system for the skeleton.

GYROTONIC® exercises are three-dimensional meaning they are performed through spherical awareness and circularity of movement. Each exercise is synchronized with a corresponding breathing pattern and is performed with either a rhythm or melodic rhythmical expression. This creates a gentle or vigorous cardiovascular-aerobic stimulation, depending on the intensity and speed of execution.

Pilates is a method of exercise and physical movement designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the body. Pilates combines the systematic practice of specific exercises with focused breathing patterns.

The regular practice of Pilates results in life-enhancing benefits. A primary focus of Pilates is deep, healthy breathing which results in increased lung capacity and circulation. Pilates increases strength and flexibility, particularly of the abdomen and back muscles, preventing back injuries and healing current injuries. Muscular and mental coordination are key components in an effective Pilates program. Posture, body awareness, balance and core strength are all increased resulting in improved daily function and energy. Pilates can help to increase bone density and improve joint health. Pilates teaches balance and control of the body, which results in a more balanced body, mind and life.

Pilates increases body awareness, prevents injuries and improves posture. Pilates strengthens the core muscles which are used to stabilize the spine and prevent back pain and injuries. Pilates prevents joint injuries and degeneration by creating more length and less compression at the joints. The key to a healthy, vibrant body and mind is balance. Pilates brings balance to the body by creating stability where stability is needed and mobility where mobility is needed. The result is a strong but flexible body and mind.
