Like most people, you have probably tried a variety of diets, and may even have managed to do well on some for a few weeks or even months. However, the emphasis such diets place on willpower, deprivation and denial is both unnecessary and counter-productive. The reality is that, unless you have a plan that is practical, works with your lifestyle and takes your individuality into account, it will not last. We will help you to create such a plan.
Conventional dietary theories present you with food restrictions and limitations that are difficult to sustain over time. Such quick fixes do nothing to help you achieve life-long health and happiness nor do they bring out the body's natural inclination toward balance. Together, we will introduce new and healthful foods and activities, gently and slowly. As you start to feel better, these habits have a natural tendency to take hold and ease out the less helpful ones.
As you become more physically fit, other areas of your life such as relationships, career and creativity start to improve. You will naturally begin to crave those foods and activities that make you feel better, and to make time in your life for those things that are truly important to you.

Choose from either my three or six month programs.
You will get the best results if you commit to either a three or six month program. This will help you be accountable for your actions for at least that period of time. At the end of the three or six month if you choose to continue you can extend your program at any time.

The first consultation
We will discuss your unique situation in depth and determine how I can help you reach your personal goals. We will be able to see if we are a good match and if this approach will work for you. Even this first session will demonstrate how an individualized approach can make a major difference in your life.
In-person or via phone
Sessions are done in-person or via telephone, or a combination of the two. Sessions are 55 minutes on average, depending on what is scheduled to be discussed and covered. For maximum benefit I recommend one session per week or every other week depending on issues and goals. In the first session, we will determine your goals and create an action plan. The length of counseling is typically 6 months however, it is different per person.
Phone sessions are beneficial for many reasons. You can be in the comfort of your own home receiving life-changing support and counseling. If you are on travel you don't have to miss a session. Instead of wasting time driving to your appointment you can commit 55 minutes each week to your phone session and improve your health and happiness. If you live across the country or in another country we can still work together.
